RACC Concrete

You may have seen on the news this week about concerns over unsafe concrete in school buildings. School would like to reassure you that we have been checked and there is no unsafe concrete in the school building.

GAIN Award

School will be continuing with the GAIN Award starting next week -Monday 11th September for children in Year 1 -6.

Reception class will start when all the children are settled and in full time.

There are seven weeks in this half term, the children will need to have received the GAIN award five times to be on the award

A reminder:

Children will receive a weekly sticker for the following:

Reading at home at least 3 times a week

Completing homework

Attending school and being on time

Wearing the correct uniform and PE kit

Not losing more that 15minutes Golden Time in a week

If children have lost 15 minutes or more of their golden time, that will result in them losing the GAIN award that week. Losing 5 or 10 minutes will not stop them getting the GAIN award on the grounds of behaviour.

School are aware that children do get ill, so to get the full GAIN award at the end of the term 5 out of the 7 weeks need to be achieved.

Roald Dahl Day

Wednesday 13th September we are celebrating the work of Roald Dahl. All the children will be involved, there will be lots of activities for the children relating to the book the class have chosen. They can come into school wearing yellow or dressed as a character from his books. If it is their PE day the should bring their PE kit in a bag.
