Let’s Glow Disco Tuesday 6th Feb 4.30 to 5.30

We are holding a disco for Year 1 to Year 6 on Tuesday 6th February, 4.30 to 5.30. Tickets are on sale at the office for £3 per ticket. Glow sticks, sweets and drinks will be on sale at the disco. The tickets are limited and will be on a first come basis. We will not be able to allow entry into the disco without a ticket.

Pound for PJ’s Day

The children all took part in the day and had lots of fun. We raised a fabulous £151 for school funds. Many thanks to all involved in making the day a success.

Breakfast at School

Any children arriving at school from 8.30 until 8.40 each morning can receive toast and other breakfast items on the Infant playground. If Reception children want anything if you can take them onto that playground before coming into school.

What Parents and Carers Need to Know about MyLOL Website

There is a new teen dating website MyLOL, which offers 13 to 19-year-olds the chance to rate each other’s pics, send private messages and contact strangers online. If that sets your alarm bells ringing, you’re far from alone: law enforcement agencies and schools in several countries have seen fit to issue warnings about the platform. Please talk to your child about the potential dangers of such sites.

Among the main issues is the fact that MyLOL doesn’t have a reliable age verification method – meaning there’s no foolproof way to stop anyone outside the platform’s intended 13–19 audience signing up for an account under a false age. If you want further information #WakeUpWednesday guide highlights potential concerns around in-app purchases and the use of geolocation for sinister reasons.
