Matilda Performance

A big thank to all the cast of Matilda that performed this week – they were absolutely fabulous and put on a brilliant show. Well Done.

Year 6 SATs - May 2023

Due to the Coronation of King Charles and the bank holiday on Monday 8th May, school will be closed on the Monday.

KS2 tests will take place in the same week with tests following the usual order but each taking place one day later than originally planned. As such, the new schedule will be:

Tuesday 9 May: English grammar, punctuation and spelling (GPS) papers 1 (questions) and 2 (spelling)

Wednesday 10 May: English reading paper

Thursday 11 May: mathematics papers 1 (arithmetic) and 2 (reasoning)

Friday 12 May: mathematics paper 3 (reasoning)

GAIN Award

School have been trying to promote reading as much as possible this year and this is being seen in the number of children achieving a weekly GAIN sticker. If you have any questions, please come in and speak to myself about how school can support your child to get the award, if they missed it.

 Christmas Parties

Children can come to school in their party clothes on the day of the party. School appreciate the financial challenges at the moment so we are asking parents to send in a carton of juice, biscuit and bag of crisps for the party for their child. School will provide sweets and cakes and Father Christmas will be paying a visit.

Farewell to Mrs Mills

I would like to thank Mrs Mills again for her time here at Willow Tree. We wish her well in her new position.  Miss Haslam will be the teacher in Year 3 and she will be the temporary SENCo until the Summer. As we come to the end of a busy term, I would like to thank you for your support and wish you all a happy Christmas and peaceful new year.
