Dear Parents & Carers,

Update from Mr Perkins

Hello everyone!  I hope you are all well. On Wednesday, our school council were invited, by the Mayor no less, to the St Helens archive. There they were presented with a time capsule, buried some 25 years previous by former pupils. Inside were a variety of items, from Pogs to a VHS (remember them), that we hope to digitise. The children were an absolute credit to Willow Tree, with the Mayor making comment on how well-mannered and courteous they were. A big thank you must also go to Mrs Paris for organising the event and making the link with the town hall. Please see our Facebook page to see some of the photographs of the day and share in our achievements.

Mrs Haunch and her team have held a Table Top sale every morning this week and to date they have raised a very impressive £115.00. Mrs Haunch will be selling the last few items on Monday morning. This money will be used to purchase extra resources for Forest School activities and enhance the children’s learning. A huge thank you to all involved.

An important element to children’s years in school is the time they have on the playground at lunch time. To ensure their play is as safe as possible we employ mid-day supervisors to oversee their time in the dinner hall and on the playground. We currently have a vacancy for this role and if you think you have the required qualities please enquire at the school office.

As we are forecast to have a cold spell of weather could you please ensure the children have appropriate winter clothes to keep them warm on the playground.

Have a lovely weekend
