Dear Parents & Carers,

We are nearly at the end of a very long term for us all; the days are short and the nights are long, but Christmas will very quickly be here and I know the staff and children are looking forward to the Christmas activities planned for them next week.

I have put some of the information sent out on previous newsletters as a reminder this week.

Christmas

We have thought very carefully about our plans for Christmas. During the final week, we are planning to hold:

  • A virtual panto for the children (we are just waiting for the company to confirm!) on Tuesday 15th December.

  • Christmas Lunch on Wednesday 16th December.

  • Christmas Jumper Day on Wednesday 16th December

  • Class Christmas Party Afternoon on Thursday 17th December. Your child/ren are welcome to come in their party clothes this year rather than changing.

  • Virtual Christmas Assembly on Thursday 17th December

For your child’s Christmas party, we asking for a small food donation. All food must be wrapped (for example individual crisp packets, not a sharing packet). We will be using hand sanitizer to ensure protection against any potential transmission.

Christmas Cards

I have been asked a few times about whether Christmas cards are allowed this year. Our suggestion would be to send one Christmas card to the whole class. However, if you wish to send Christmas cards, we are in a position to allow this. All Christmas cards have to be quarantined for at least 72 hours.

In order to manage this safely, we ask that all Christmas cards are in school by Friday 11th December (today) at the latest. We will then quarantine the cards and give them out when we can during the final week of term.

Thank you as always for your support in this.

After School Club

Our After School Club will be closing at 4pm from Monday 14th December to Thursday 17th December. We will be reducing the cost of the club to £2.50 to reflect the shorter length. It will return to normal times in the Spring term. I apologise for any inconvenience caused and appreciate your support in this.

Reminder

Just a reminder that we will closing for the Christmas holidays for the children on Thursday 17th December at 3:15pm. After School Club will still be available on Thursday 17th December.

Beginning of the Spring Term

Just to let you know school will reopen on Monday 4th January at the same times for your child’s class.

Have a lovely weekend!

With very best wishes,

Mr Perkins.
