Class: Nursery Year: 2019 - 2020
We have had a lovely time in nursery exploring how we have all changed over time using the language of size and ability. We have celebrated how far we have come in our lives so far. We have talked about what babies need and how this differs to our needs now.
We explored babies across the world and the ways that baby care differs yet meets the needs of the babies just the same. We saw how some babies are carried in their parent’s arms, some carried on their backs, others pushed in prams, and some are even placed onto their parent’s legs to be rocked to sleep as their parent’s work.
To finish off the week we brought in our babies from home and welcomed in a very special guest, Baby Noah, who is only three weeks old. We asked his mummy questions about him and how she cares for him and we sang him Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star, and a Turkish nursery rhyme, Minik Minik Bir Kus, to round up our exploration of babies around the world.
