Willow Tree Nursery Class Newsletter

13th December 2019

This week we have been continuing our adventures with Baby Bear in the story Whatever Next. The children have been using their imaginations with cardboard boxes and have come up with some lovely ideas of what to make with them including cars, boats and even elephants!

We have also done a full practice run through of our Christmas show… on the stage! The children are a credit to you all with the effort they are putting in with their singing and acting and I am immensely proud of them all. We can’t wait to show off the hard work and effort the little ones have put in.

Next Week we will be focussing on the Christmas Story and the birth of Jesus.

Don’t Forget…

To give your £1 per week (£6 per half term) snack money into the office please.

Water only in bottles please. It’s better for teeth and doesn’t become sticky and attract insects when spilt.

Also please provide your Child with a change of clothes labelled clearly in a bag on their peg. Children learn best when they are physically comfortable.

If you haven’t provided your child with a pair of wellington boots please do so asap. The boots make sure your child is able to explore comfortably and safely regardless of the weather, includes them in the routine of getting ready for outdoors independently, and ensures the learning indoor environment stays in good condition for the children.

Dates for the Diary

Wednesday 18th December: Nursery Party & Visit from a certain portly gentleman that brings gifts this time of year.

Friday 20th December: Nursery Christmas Performance & Last day of term

Tuesday 7th January 2020: Back to school!

Christmas Holidays

During the Christmas holidays there will be no home task or newsletter. Saying that, in nursery we always welcome reasons to celebrate your child. If you as a family or your child does something they would like to share with the class let us know on their return and we will facilitate a show and tell opportunity for them.

We want to wish you all a very happy Christmas and delightful New Year. Stay safe and we will see you in the New Year for another term of excitement and learning.

This week’s home task.

With the Christmas show in mind this week’s home task is practicing the art of singing loudly with your child. 😉
