Reception 2019 - 2020

Mrs Fairhurst

21st May

Hey! It's me again! I can't believe how quickly the weeks are flying by. Hope you are enjoying the outdoors as much as possible.

This week there is another video if Mrs Fairhurst reading a story with a little challenge at the end as a little extra job on top of your Oak Academy work!

At home this week we have been baking cakes, washing the car and PLAYING UNO! This is such a great game to help with number recognition, turn taking and other maths skills. The children could even design there own cards. Jack loves making mummy pick up two cards!

Hope you are all okay. Please email if you need anything at all!

11th May

Hey Everyone,

Hope you're all okay and keeping busy. I have been very brave and added a video in the gallery of me reading a story to the children. Just in case they are forgetting me.

An idea that you might like to do with your children this week is creating your own worry dolls (or stick superhereos if the boys don't want to say dolls). You need to collect some sticks and using any material you have in the home - wool or string works best and they create a worry doll that they can put under their pillow that will chase their worries away. Might help in the coming weeks for any children feeling a little anxious. Ive added a file at the bottom of the page with some examples of what they might look like.

Thank you for all the photos you are sending, its so lovely to see you all.

If you are needing more work or have any photos you would like to send email me at rebecca.howarth@sthelens.org.uk.

Make sure you keep accessing the OAK academy workshops from the news link. There are some lovely ideas on there and here are some useful websites:
